Flamingo Finance launches THE FLOCK, sunsets FLM Hodlers program

Flamingo Finance has introduced a new community engagement initiative, THE FLOCK, replacing the legacy FLM Hodlers Program. The new platform-specific Discord channel is accessible to holders of the FLOCKS token and is designed to facilitate open dialogue and lay a platform for community governance.

THE FLOCK serves as a private channel on the Flamingo Discord, where eligible participants can freely discuss topics related to the Flamingo platform, including past developments, current initiatives, and future directions. Participation is open to any user who holds FLOCKS tokens and links their wallet via the Discord bot in the “JOIN THE FLOCK” channel.

The initiative introduces tiered roles based on the amount of FLOCKS held in a user’s synced wallet:

• Egg — over 10 FLOCKS
• Hatchling — over 1,000 FLOCKS
• Fledgling — over 10,000 FLOCKS
• Flapper — over 100,000 FLOCKS
• Flamingo — over 1,000,000 FLOCKS
• Flock Leader — over 10,000,000 FLOCKS

These roles provide unique identifiers such as custom colors and icons within the exclusive channel. THE FLOCK will also act as an informal forum for decision-making, with token-weighted input shaping platform direction until the formal DAO is established.

Future contests and events exclusive to THE FLOCK are also planned, further incentivizing participation and community activity.

THE FLOCK replaces the FLM Hodlers Program, which launched in December 2021. The earlier program offered benefits such as exclusive channel access, role-based participation, and contests. Although the program is now archived, its content remains retrievable upon request.

For FLOCKS holders not yet synced, joining THE FLOCK requires executing the !link command in the designated Discord channel, verifying the linked wallet via a provided URL, and completing the process with the Flamingo emoji reaction. Users may register multiple wallets under a single Discord account.
