Aave Implements Chainlink SVR to Recapture Oracle MEV on Ethereum

Aave Protocol, a decentralized, open-source, and non-custodial liquidity protocol, has collaborated with Chainlink, a prominent on-chain finance standard, and BGD Labs, a well-known Web3 development endeavor. As a part of this collaboration, Aave Protocol is implementing Chainlink Smart Value Recapture on Ethereum Mainnet for improved recapture of MEV related to oracles. The platform announced this development in a recent X post.

Aave Incorporates Chainlink SVR on Ethereum Mainnet to Improve Value Recapture

In partnership with Chainlink and BGD Labs, the incorporation of Chainlink Smart Value Recapture on Ethereum Mainnet permits Aave to enhance user experience. This integration develops a unique standard for decentralized finance apps, letting them retrieve oracle-related MEV formerly leaked to blockchain ecosystems. It further enhances the revenue of these dApps apart from establishing balanced economics for oracle infrastructure and DeFi protocols.

Chainlink Smart Value Recapture serves as a cutting-edge oracle solution. It allows dApps to retrieve Maximal Extractable Value (MEV) coming from the utilization of Chainlink Price Feeds, also known as Oracle Extractable Value (OEV). Formerly, huge amounts of value in OEV have reportedly been leaked and retrieved by the block building procedure’s participants. The Aave DAO contributors, Flashbots, and BGD Labs as the core contributors behind the development of Chainlink SVR. The project retrieves oracle-related MEV by utilizing the MEV-Share service of Flashbots and the oracle networks of Chainlink.

Chainlink and Aave Communities to Share Revenue Coming from Chainlink SVR

According to Aave, the integration of Chainlink SVR enables efficient recapture of liquidation MEV, beginning with an earliest group of markets. They take into account $LINK, $AAVE, $LBTC, and $tBTC. Nonetheless, there is a plan to include more markets over time. The OEV revenue recaptured by Chainlink SVR will be divided between the Chainlink and Aave communities.
