Meet the Sealminer A2: Bitdeer’s New ASIC in the Bitcoin Mining Arena

This week, Bitdeer (Nasdaq: BTDR), a publicly listed firm in bitcoin mining and rig production, unveiled its latest product: the Sealminer A2. Bitdeer claims this machine clocks in at an impressive 226 terahash per second (TH/s) with a sleek energy efficiency of 16.5 joules per terahash (J/T). “Mass production introduction is in progress, coming soon to boost your mining game,” Bitdeer announced on the social platform X, paired with a preview video showcasing the device in action. By rolling out the Sealminer A2, Bitdeer is set to compete with industry heavyweights like Bitmain, Microbt, Canaan, and Auradine. Earlier this year, Bitdeer took significant steps by partnering with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) for chip production, enlisting Desiweminer to design the machine’s application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC).
