Uniswap Community Expands ‘Delegate Rewards Initiative’ to Incentivize Active Governance with UNI Tokens

The Uniswap DAO has voted to continue Uniswap’s ‘Delegate Rewards Initiative’, following a proposal approved on the Tally voting platform. An additional $540,000 of the protocol’s native UNI token has been allocated to fund ‘Cycle 3’ of the program.

The initiative is a compensation program to increase the quality and dedication of Uniswap governance through paid incentives. The program will distribute up to $6,000 worth of UNI tokens per month to the highest performing delegates, individuals or entities who are granted the right to vote on behalf of other token holders.

The governance vote ran from February 26 to March 4, 2025, and was passed with 47.51 million votes (99.45%) in favor. The Cycle 3 proposal is now queued and the actual execution date will be determined later if it is not cancelled during the lockout period.
