Paolo Ardoino, CEO of the crypto company behind the world’s largest stablecoin, Tether, has dropped a real “bomb” on X, which concerns Juventus.

In practice, Ardoino reposted an image featuring Alessandro Del Piero and Zinedine Zidane, the two legends of the Italian black and white football team, commenting with the emoji of a zebra.

As you can see, the two legends are seated at a table almost replicating the Continassa headquarters. In the background, the Juventus logo is clearly visible, while the zebra emoji, the club’s historic symbol, accompanies the message from the CEO of Tether.

The post says everything and says nothing, however, it triggers a series of comments from the bianconeri fans, already agitated by all the events concerning Juventus.

Tether: the crypto company minority shareholder of Juventus

By now it is well known that Juventus is experiencing a moment with evident difficulties, with the fans furious and contesting the work of Thiago Motta and Giuntoli, but also of the club in general.

The new post with the two historical legends of the team, however, remains of dubious interpretation.

On one hand, the first sharing of the image came directly from the Juventus FC X account, and then on the other, the repost by Ardoino who, recently, is involved with the Italian bull team.

In fact, in mid-February 2025, Tether had acquired a minority stake in Juventus FC. From what had emerged, the investment was intended to be a significant step in the fusion between sports and technology.

In reality, after the announcement of the acquisition of 5% of Juve by Tether, they caused Juventus shares to increase by 2.5% on the Italian Stock Exchange, while the fan token JUV saw its value skyrocket immediately by almost 200%, only to then register a partial correction.

The comments of the tifosi

Despite there being no official news, the fans did not hold back their thoughts, commenting on the new post on X without filters.

And indeed, the sight of Del Piero and Zidane sitting close together, with the Juventus logo in the background, made some fans, the most hopeful ones, dream. One comment in particular mentions as follows: “Paolo if you do it, you will be loved for the rest of eternity”

The more realistic ones, on the other hand, commented that more than posts and images, facts would be needed. The more frustrated and angry about the general situation of Juventus, on the other hand, wanted to emphasize their discontent.

In the meantime, during the morning, Ardoino then shared another tweet that might not be connected to that of Juventus. In his post on X, Ardoino writes:
