Crypto women: the approach to the market with a long-term mindset wins

In honor of International Women’s Day, Bitpanda revealed the data from its survey on women in crypto. The majority of its female users prefer to adopt a long-term investment strategy.

Crypto women and the long-term investment strategy

In honor of International Women’s Day, Bitpanda reveals the results of its survey on women in crypto.

This is a survey conducted on over 1,400 female users where their trading behavior on Bitpanda was analyzed, also comparing investment styles and approaches with men.

A first piece of data that emerges is that even if 81% declare themselves beginners in the sector, they prefer to adopt a long-term investment strategy.

In fact, 49% of women stated they want to invest in cryptocurrencies for 1-5 years, while 39% said they prefer to plan their investments in cryptocurrencies for over 5 years.

Another important piece of data then discusses investment choices, where Bitcoin (BTC) prevails for both women (with 30%) and men (24%). But what will be the other crypto preferred by Bitpanda users?

Crypto women: the main investment choice is Bitcoin, Ethereum, or XRP

Women seem to want to focus their investments primarily on the more established cryptocurrencies. In fact, the survey revealed that 54% of crypto women want to invest in Bitcoin, Ethereum, or XRP.

Bipanda then specified that its female users are definitely increasing both in terms of participation in trading and exposure to crypto.

In practice, the women who started investing in January 2024 increased the size of their investment by an average of 8.1% over the past year, demonstrating growing confidence in the asset class.

During the last year, other surveys related to women in crypto have been published. For example, in July, the survey by Pantera Capital on blockchain sector compensation, had identified that women in crypto earn almost 15% more than men.

Specifically, it had emerged that the median base salary is $172,000, compared to $150,000 for men in the sector.

Another 2024 report by BITmarkets, however, would have stated that women in crypto are still fewer holders than men, even though the interest in the sector seems to be growing compared to the past.

While Bitpanda claims that women in crypto prefer a long-term investment strategy and Bitcoin (BTC), ETH, and XRP as cryptocurrencies to invest in, here are some predictions.

Recently, Cory Klippsten, CEO of Swan Bitcoin, stated that there is a probability that BTC will reach new all-time highs by June 2025.

This forecast for BTC is super optimistic, considering that today the leader of the crypto is leading a general bear marish.

In fact, at the time of writing, BTC is still below the $90,000 threshold, despite Donald Trump having signed the executive order to establish the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve.
