On March 6, 2025, President Donald Trump signed an executive order establishing a U.S. Strategic Bitcoin Reserve under the newly enacted Bitcoin Act of 2025. Over a period of five years, the reserve aims to acquire up to 1 million Bitcoin and will hold them for at least the next two decades.
