Overtake Adds World ID Verification

Overtake, Sui blockchain-based P2P game marketplace, has announced a partnership with World — global identity and finance network, to add proof-of-human verification World ID to its platform.

World provides proof-of-human technology that confirms an individual is a real and unique person, without revealing their identity, using its Orb camera. The company has been expanding in the United States, growing access to Orb verification in major cities and integrating World ID with payment and social platforms.

Overtake allows players to trade in-game items, accounts, and currencies through an escrow process with low fees and instant USDC settlement.

World’s identity system, World ID, will be introduced gradually, first for seller onboarding and later for high-value and frequent transactions. The feature is designed to reduce the risks of bots and duplicate accounts while keeping transactions secure.
