Neo opens voting for Neo X Grind Hackathon Voter’s Choice awards

Neo has officially opened voting for the Community Voter’s Choice awards as part of the Neo X Grind Hackathon. The voting period, which began on Jan. 13, will remain open until Jan. 20, allowing members of Neo’s ambassador program, NeoPod, to select their favorite projects from the competition.

Community Voter’s Choice awards

NeoPod members have the opportunity to vote for 10 standout projects from the hackathon, with each selected project earning US $1,000 in GAS rewards. A total of 22 projects have qualified for the community vote, spanning categories such as DeFi, infrastructure, SocialFi, meme-related infrastructure, AI, and gaming.

Community members are encouraged to explore and test the projects, which can be found on the Neo X Grind Hackathon Handbook page.

Prizes and benefits

While community recognition is a key component of the Voter’s Choice awards, projects also compete for other prizes, including:

Five major prizes of $10,000 each
Two minor prizes of $5,000 each

Projects that win a major or minor prize from the judges will not be eligible to receive a Community Voter’s Choice award.

In addition to the $70,000 prize pool, hackathon participants are vying for access to additional opportunities, including:

Neo’s $20 million Elevate Program
Web3 Labs’ $1 million Web 3.0 Acceleration Program
IOSG’s $1 million Kickstarter Program
Potential investment from Foresight Ventures.

Final Results

The results of both the Community Voter’s Choice awards and the judges’ selections will be announced on Jan. 21, marking the conclusion of the Neo X Grind Hackathon. The event launched in Sept. 2024 with satellite hackathons hosted by various development communities worldwide. The main event began on Oct. 30, 2024, inviting developers to submit their entries.
