Buyback activity in the cryptocurrency market has accelerated significantly in the last 30 days.

According to the data, protocols have repurchased over $183 million in total. HYPE, ASTER, and PUMP topped the list, while other major projects also saw consistent but smaller buybacks.

Officials note that the majority of buybacks are funded by protocol revenues, with ASTER, in particular, aggressively pursuing a burn + buyback strategy.

It is seen that the speed of buybacks has accelerated on a monthly basis, especially in L2 and next-generation DeFi protocols, with buybacks increasing by up to 40% in some projects compared to the previous 30 days.
