Donald Trump recently appeared live on an X space hosted by crypto influencer @Farokh, with over 1.2 million listeners. He talked about the future of the DeFi sector in the US and unveiled his crypto project, World Liberty Financial.
The X space lasted roughly 2 hours and 23 minutes, with the live recording available for users to listen to. Elon Musk also quoted and shared the space, however, that particular post has since been removed from his account.

Trump discussed various topics, including the apparent assassination attempt. Most importantly, topics like decentralized finance and its future in the US were talked about, followed by discussion about his crypto project.
Donald Jr., his son mentioned in the livestream that the crypto project, World Liberty Financial will help promote financial security and the ability to make transactions freely.
After comments from former president, Donald Jr. mentioned, “It’s a real problem that needed to be addressed, and honestly I think this is the way.”
Trump continues to show support for Crypto despite calling it a scam earlier
While Trump previously denounced Bitcoin calling it a scam, the former president has recently shown immense support for the digital-asset and decentralized finance sectors, as the race for votes continues. In fact, he has already vowed that the US will become the “crypto capital of the planet.”

In recent weeks, Donald Jr. and Eric Trump have been promoting World Liberty Financial on Telegram and X.
Regarding this, a finance professor from Duke University, Campbell Harvey stated, “The effort is consistent with Trump’s pro-crypto policy stance … It’s one thing to say you are pro-crypto, and other to launch a company in the space.”
